10 Cruelty-Free Skincare Brands You Should Know About In 2024

2023 brought us unique brands like BYOMA, which sparked our fascination with the skin microbiome. We also saw celebrity brands like Nimya by Youtuber Nikki Tutorials, proving that skincare and colour cosmetics can coexist. Additionally, numerous lesser-known indie brands like Good Habit, Muihud, and others emerged in 2023, creating a buzz in the beauty community. With such a diverse range of skincare options, we can't help but wonder what exciting offerings 2024 will bring.

Well, for the skincare enthusiasts perusing the net for up-and-coming cruelty-free beauty, we have compiled a list of skincare brands that we think will rise in the ranks in 2024!

Nothing Nasty

There's not much else to mention except for the amazing crystal-infused skincare. Yes, you heard it right, crystal-infused! You can actually see the crystals inside the transparent glass bottle. Each crystal is carefully chosen to address specific skin concerns and is paired with an optimal oil choice. Just like those huge crystals that became super popular to have in your home in 2022, the benefits of crystals are well documented. However, in skincare, it's a relatively new phenomenon. Even if you're not particularly excited about the potential benefits crystals can bring to your skincare routine, it's still super fun and absolutely mesmerising to look at.

Kumo

While each skincare brand has its own perspective on skin health, Komo prioritises the taxonomy of skin. The brand focuses on "anti-inflammatory, salubrious skincare that replenishes the integral epidermal hydrolipidic barrier and supports the delicate microbiome.”

*Writes down*

Despite its seemingly complex nature, the brand predominantly creates skincare formulas that nourish the skin barrier, in turn naturally supporting the facial microbiome.
You could describe this as a hybrid approach to skincare, rather than developing products to support the facial microbiome only or developing a product that just aims to improve skin moisture, for example.Taking that complexity away from us, regular skincare fans. Thankfully they provide an array of skin education on their site too, so understanding more about the importance of skincare that supports the microbiome is incredibly easy to access.

It's worth noting that their products are made with the planet in mind. They have a minimalist approach to packaging and their ingredient list.

DEWGOOD Skincare

No sh*t skincare from a British brand; Dewgood is a newer brand that focuses on simple, targeted ingredients proven to address specific skin concerns. They state on their website that they do not give ‘overblown promises’ via their skincare, and their ingredient list is not hidden in the corners of their site (sincerely, an angry blogger who has spent more time than she cares to admit scouring beauty brands websites for their product ingredient list).

There's a lot to say for a transparent skincare brand, and when a product performs as well as theirs, it's really hard to resist.

Lilixir

Another new brand, luxury skincare by Lilixir, creates beautiful serums specifically designed for mature skin.

The Canadian brand harnesses the power of natural ingredients to target signs of ageing through their complete day and night system.
With a focus on the skin barrier Lilixir uses a unique blend of organic bio-nutrients, botanical actives, and zero-waste cold-pressed plant-based oils to smooth skin and improve radiance.

Similarly to Kumo, Lilixir is a brand that really mobilises education as a complimentary step to their skincare products.

Supper Club Skincare

Developed by industry expert Ziad Halub, Supper Club skincare brings attention to the importance of sustainability in skincare via a primary focus on skin nutrition.

With a focus on sustainably sourced skin food, Supper Club Key Serum aims to brighten, calm, and protect the skin from environmental stressors. Additionally, the serum comes with a pipette. I think it's important to mention this because a pipette for the face is just… hygienic and undeniably convenient.

This product is versatile and truly conscious. Moreover, it is packaged beautifully, making it a luxurious treat for yourself or as a gift this Christmas.

Foile skin

Not only is the brand cruelty-free, but they promote clean, bioactive ingredients that replenish your skin from within.
This brand reassures its usability for daily use through effortless, inclusive skincare you can depend on.

Also, have you seen the packaging? Totally Pinterest-worthy and gender neutral!

Slugging gained immense popularity in 2022 and 2023, and Future Wise took that popularity and modernised it for our convenience.

With dedicated slugging cream for the delicate eye area, along with a viral slugging balm, Futurewise allows us to carry that trend into 2023 with a new level of sophistication.
Say goodbye to the hassle of traditional slugging methods and hello to beautifully radiant skin. It's time to bid farewell to that old tub of Vaseline you’ve had laying around since before the pandemic (Yes, it started almost four years ago now!).

Soho Skin

Soho House, the members club, has collaborated to create an award-winning skincare brand. Soho Skin provides contemporary skincare solutions that encourage high skin energy, inspired by its members.

Have you ever wondered what makes a great skin oil? The answer is simple: it should be non-greasy. This means achieving a fresh and luminous complexion without your hair sticking to your face. This is especially important in the winter as you step outside into the cold breeze (it usually feels more like a smack in the face if you live in the UK).

Otherwise, they also offer the most captivating packaging, which is just perfect for Christmas gifting.
